Chopard’s New High Jewelry Collection Is an Ode to Geometric Shapes

Chopard is known for its bevy of lavish jewelry that drops season after season on the red carpet at Cannes. I wanted the pieces to feel wearable yet unexpected, like modern art for the body.” To that end, there are bracelets with diamonds set in mirror-polished cubes that vary in height like sparkling city scape for the wrist. On a one-of-a-kind modular necklace, a mix of nine strands in rose and white gold are presented with articulated cubes in two different sizes and heights for dimension. The necklace can be disassembled to be worn in three sets of three for a more toned-down look. The collection also proposes non-traditional solitaire rings and unisex pieces. A 3-carat Asscher-cut diamond is placed diagonally across two parallel bands in 18-karat ethical white gold and diamonds, while a sleek pair of earrings topped with 1.2-carat Asscher-cut diamond solitaires and dangling lines diamond-set cubes are perfect to match. The latter can also be worn as just solitaires. Meanwhile, architectural brooches are perfectly unisex and would look sophisticated on anyone’s lapel. The co-CEO and designer debuted custom gowns and evening in 2023 at the 76th annual Cannes film festival in a smart full-circle move to provide the full look to accompany Chopard’s jewels.
