Mansory Just Gave the Ferrari 12Cilindri a Makeover the Joker Would Love

Mansory has come for the Ferrari 12Cilindri. The famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) German tuner previously presented modified versions of the G-Wagen, Ferrari Purosangue, Tesla Cybertruck, and Bugatti Chiron, to name just a few. Mansory’s playbook, by now, is familiar: Take a supercar or luxury car and dial the supercar-ness to 11. Turn the absurdity up to 11 as well. The point of these cars is to make a declaration, for both Mansory and its customers. The statement is that owning a 12Cilindri, Purosangue, Chiron, Cybertruck, or G-Wagen isn’t loud enough. For that, Mansory is there to finish the job. In the 12Cilindri’s case, that comes in the form of the Mansory Equestre, which was revealed this week. Mansory says it’s the first “complete vehicle conversion of the Ferrari 12Cilindri worldwide.” Buyers can get it in coupe or convertible (spider) form. As with almost any Mansory conversion, there is a lot of carbon fiber everywhere, including in the modified front air intakes, the front hood, and the wheel arch extensions. For some reason, Mansory chose not to add a spoiler to the rear. There is more carbon fiber inside, in addition to lots of Alcantara. The model car has purple seatbelts as well, but Mansory says the interior is up to the customer and completely customizable. Perhaps important for Mansory, the brand’s logos are everywhere. “Many other detailed features make the ‘Mansory Equestre’ a vehicle whose owners can fully realize their individual ideas and desires, a vehicle that the specialists at Mansory are able to masterfully implement,” the tuner said in a news release. Grunt has been increased to 855 hp from the 12Cilindri’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine, which normally delivers 819 hp in the version made by Ferrari. Mansory said it upped the output because of modifications to the exhaust and “engine management system.” Mansory didn’t release a price for the Equestre, but the Ferrari 12Cilindri starts at $470,950, according to Car and Driver, and has options that can send the cost well north of that. One can expect the Mansory Equestre to cost much more than that base price, too, with expensive options of its own. Ferrari won’t be offering many of them anytime soon.
