Those up for a nightcap have Eight Cigar Lounge, where event partner Cohiba will host a Cut and Light session while non-smokers can imbibe in an array of fine spirits complemented by an atmosphere redolent with pregame camaraderie. Saturday’s viewing party takes place on the 66th floor’s expansive yet sequestered Allē Lounge, equipped with ubiquitous large-screen TVs for the occasion. The programming, which runs from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., will comprise watching multiple second-round NCAA basketball games, as well as sampling ample ancillary amenities that include an array of amuse-bouche, a Louis XIII tasting, a Formula 1 simulator, and appointments at Awana Spa, of which each package includes one treatment. Selected by the Los Angeles Lakers, he stayed with the team through 1994 and was part of three NBA Championship–winning seasons with the organization. Worthy will also be on hand to offer game analysis, mingle with attendees, and sign more than a few basketballs as mementos. As for Saturday evening, while left open to guests, there’s the included option of dining at Resorts World’s own Kusa Nori, where a prix-fixe menu has been prepared, as well as joining in for a repeat of the festivities from the night before at Eight Cigar Lounge. Prior to parting ways on Sunday, a farewell brunch will double as a forum for a bit of prognostication regarding how the tournament will ultimately play out. Regarding the latter, it’s anyone’s guess, of course, but the top three teams in the NCAA are currently Duke, followed by Arizona and Michigan, respectively.
