This New 171-Foot Superyacht’s Pool Can Be Hidden Beneath a Liftable Floor

The shipyard just announced the launch of the eighth hull in its popular T52 series. Hull no. 10253 was christened Marsa Luna, and the 171-footer has a few tricks up its sleeve. It all starts in the three-level beach club, with plenty of space to wine and dine on the seas. There, the swimming pool comes with a bit of a fun twist: It has a movable floor and pop-up system, meaning you can completely cover it to add some extra lounge space on the deck. Follow along the vessel’s low, elongated profile, dreamt up by the team at Francesco Paszkowski Design, and you’ll end up on the upper deck, with massive windows that can open right up to indulge in true indoor-outdoor living. The nearly 78-foot-long sundeck, meanwhile, is a rather generous size that’s a signature of the T52 series that focused on open-air living, one that serves up another spot for dining, relaxation, and more. As for what’s inside, Baglietto has been mum on the details, but other yachts in the line can host 12 guests across five cabins onboard. Marsa Luna is also the second T52 to be equipped with the yard’s upgraded hybrid propulsion system, which helps to reduce environmental impact on the water. While coasting in electric-diesel mode, the vessel can be at anchor for up to 12 hours just on its batteries. Flip on the gas, though, and a pair of Caterpillar C32 engines allow Marsa Luna to hit a max speed of 16 knots and a 4,500-nautical-mile range. We hopped aboard the first T52 when it hits the seas a few years ago, and that 171-foot stunner also offered up plenty both inside and out. The superyacht is home to not one but two mosaic plunge pools—one of which also sports that lifting floor—as well as three galleys for the owner, who adores cooking. Plus, it also offers up a hybrid-propulsion system for more efficient cruising. “The T52 offers extremely comfortable exteriors and truly impressive volumes, allowing [the owner] to enjoy life in the open air to the fullest,” Paszkowski said of the first vessel in the series.
